Shiny berries

I slipped out into the garden to get my blip at lunchtime between a morning session editing Talking Newspaper and an afternoon teaching Mahjong.
The bright berries are on a hedge we planted more than twenty years ago. The Garden Encyclopaedia says that Cotoneaster Franchetii is a good hedging plant and indeed it has made a good screen. However it is very fast growing and the shoots it sends up are very tough. Normous has got through several hedge cutters over the years and has now resorted to getting someone in to do it for him.
