Gothic extravaganza in the heart of Manchester!

The John Rylands Library is a late-Victorian neo-Gothic building on Deansgate in Manchester, England. The library, which opened to the public in 1900, was founded by Enriqueta Augustina Rylands in memory of her husband, John Rylands. I have walked past this building for many years, always wanted to go in but never got around to it until the other day and again today. The interior is stunning and you really have to see it to believe it. More information on John Rylands here. More information on John Rylands Library here. For more visual detail, best viewed LARGE
