Perfect camouflage !

Oh such a lazy day today! Pootled to Dulverton this morning and spent a pleasant hour aimlessly wandering amongst the little shops. So lovely to see all independent shops. Not a chain store in sight! After a few minor purchases for Christmas we then made our way to a place called Pulhams Mill for a Ploughman's lunch and an excellent cup of tea. We then headed for the moor and found a convenient place to stop for a snooze. As we pulled in to the parking place we were confronted by a herd of Exmoor ponies.

These oh so pretty ponies are on the top ten most endangered species of animals with only about 300 now living in the wild on Exmoor. They are so superbly adapted for the often harsh environment of the high moor with their thick winter coat. They blend into their surrounds with astonishing effect. If you look closely there are quite a few in this photo but some seem to merge into the moor!

After a snooze it was back to the Hotel for a nice cup of tea and a catch up on blip/ read paper . Mmmmmm.

Farming - Mr Tbay Jnr busy levelling stone around the front of the house in preparation for the Tarmac to be laid. Two on compost hauling as usual.
