Strictly No Fish and Chips on Tables

A bracing wind greeted us on our arrival in Largs this morning. This seaside town, like many in Scotland, boasts a lot of classy joints on the prom, two of which are pictured here - the Candy Factory and the Jolly Roger.

Hoodies were of course a necessity in the cold and it was also nice to be reminded what we weren't to use the tables for. In fact there were quite a lot of naggy instructions - two on the Disney teacups, one at the ferry terminal and three on the bins. Not a place for holiday relaxation then.

We had a wee glimpse in Nardini's tearoom and a nice lunch at some hotel before going back inland to a calmer breeze and, like Lady Findhorn, a sit down to watch Scotland trounce England in the rugby. Nothing like positive thinking.
