Wound up in Wexford

Moving house

A trip over to Peterborough today, to help my youngest daughter and her partner move into a new home - their first step on the property ladder.  They had moved most of the stuff themselves over the last week or so, some in Zoe's rather small car, some with the help of Elliot's parents yesterday.

They had a few large items that needed a larger car, or they would have to be carried the mile from their rented property to their new house.  So we drove over in Walter's nice large hatchback - even so, it needed a little ingenuity.

Having moved the stuff, we had a lovely Italian meal in Fratellis - I can thoroughly recommend this small restaurant.

Then Walter helped to sort out the leaking toilet, and I helped Elliot with the final bits of cleaning their flat, to hand it back to the landlord.

They will now have to reconstruct the settee and empty lots of boxes - welcome to the world of house ownership, Zoe!
