Christmas Cracker

A cold ,clear day today. Jagged the rest of the cattle on the slats with their 2nd pneumonia vaccine, then loaded up the 4 heifers for the Christmas sale at St Boswells. Headed down the road at a steady 45mph cos they were doing a bit of rumbling about in the trailer, but got there in the end.
A good show of cattle, and I was lucky to scrape a 3rd prize with a pair of Limousin heifers. They sold OK,but not brilliant. The best one came to £1530.
The sheep were sold first and then the cattle. It was about 7.30pm by the time I was through and another hour up the road. Getting frosty now too.
(This wasn't one of mine-this was one of the winning pair in the class I came 3rd in )
