Wrecked Shags

These shags are actually sitting on the stern of one of the 14 wrecks in the ships' graveyard, found scuttled off-shore of Ötamahua/Quail Island in Lyttelton Harbour.

Four of us kayakers joined together today to paddle from Cass Bay to Church Bay, then round the south end of Ötamahua/Quail Island. We had a brisk nor-easter to contend with and some standing waves; nearly breaking, but not quite, it made for challening, but still fun, paddling!

Thanks so much everyone for sending yesterday's Runners at Dawn into Spotlight. I'm delighted that so many of you enjoyed it so much. Those clouds were really beautiful.
