Living in Brabant

We made it!

After a delay of several hours on the Eurostar we arrived later than expected, but we were warm and dry, and had lots to read, so it didn't really matter.

We checked in to the B&B, and to our pleasant surprise found we had a whole apartment to ourselves, and not just a double room with en-suite. Jackpot!

We freshened up, unpacked our cases then went for a walk.
It rained. And rained, and continued raining... That's London!

I didn't know which photo to Blip: the one of us enjoying a drink in the 12 Bar Club in Tin Pan Alley; the front door of the Dickens Museum; the row of Boris bikes looked down on by a Banksky-type painting of the Queen; Covent Garden full of the Christmas spirit; Paddington, gracefully tipping his hat to us.

But in the end I couldn't resist this shot, looking down towards Big Ben from Trafalgar Square.
.

I just love the chimney pots, and the Union Jack flapping in the breeze. But most of all, I like London in the rain.
