Together @ Sea & Rainbow

A bright blue morning was waiting for us. After a quick breakfast and espresso we took our bikes and cycled into the dunes. A marvellous view welcomed us by surprise. The wind was blowing many white crested waves on to the shore. It was still low tide. Though not at its lowest level. Too risky to wade trough the Lagaguna canal and cross over to the sandbar. Gulls were gathering everywhere. Flying over the turbulent surf. Standing together on the sandbar. Tripping along the seaside. About the same movement we were making.

Willemien wanted to see the Gulls up to North. And I walked slowly along the water line in the same direction. Enjoying fully the deep and loud rustling of the surf. Endless tumblers were pounding the hidden beach grounds. Or sea bottom, what's in a word? Rolling up all kinds of tasty snacks for the birds. So, blown through the wind, dizzy from the constant rustling and roaring we were present at this jolly frolicky brunch party.

Behind our back a group of horseriders passed by gallopping. This morning everything went perfect. And on top of this the lower part of a rainbow rose over the horizon. Loosing itself in huge white cumuli. A sublime seaside adventure, incomparable to that beautiful and silent riverside walk we had made last Monday. Meanwhile all the work is going on and progress is visible. But the infinite blue&white of the vast sky and the short rainbow over the horizon made this Saturday morning walk unforgettable.
