Life Through an EF-S Lens

By vjacobs

Love, extremely macro-ed style

Detaching your lens and holding it reversed against your DSLR body results in extreme macro and a razor thin depth of field. This shot is a good example, it's taken with a kit EF-S 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 lens.
Only downpoints are that you have to set the exposure manually and above all: it looks very weird when taking off your lens and start to take shots with it held backwards against the body.
