Over the Boatyard Wall

7.1C with sunny spells and light showers. Wind to 23 mph gusts to 32 mph.

There was a colourful sunrise when Maeve the Deerhound and I had our first short walk this morning at the later than usual time of just after 8am. The sun came up over the horizon out to sea as we were walking up towards the church.

After the grocery shopping was put away Apothecary7 and I decided to take Maeve to Arbroath and have a walk round the harbour. It was still bright when we got there but bands of dark cloud alternating with bright spells soon started to come over.

I was very happy to see a small fishing boat on the slipway of the boatyard. Apothecary7 stayed with Maeve while I went up on the outer harbour wall to get another shot over the boatyard wall. The boat is called Tern and was registered in Leith. Tern is red.

We got back to the car before the first of the rain showers appeared.

After lunch it has been a wintry indoors day with a very short walk for Maeve mid afternoon. A wintry week ahead the forecasters are guessing.
