Distorted Keel

9.8C with rain through the morning then mostly dull and grey. Light breeze. More rain forecast.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went for a walk after lunch. Runrig on the Nano (The Big Wheel and Searchlight). A longer walk today. We went up to the church then continued out along the country road to Scryne. At Scryne we turned right and walked down the road to Easthaven where we joined the cycle path to walk back along towards Carnoustie. There was a hint of some light with an orange and pink line out over the Eastern and Southern horizons while we were walking. When we reached Westhaven we went down to the beach using the road bridge over the railway. The tide was out. No sign of Valhalla A.

We wandered along to the small hollow in the grass bank at the back of the beach just to the right of the car park where there are a couple of abandoned dinghies. I thought the pebbles jammed into the distorted keel of one of the upturned dinghies would suit today's Mono Monday theme.

We came back over the road bridge over the railway then carried on round in a long loop heading into Carnoustie and up the main road before turning along for home.

Maeve is tired ...
