Gallus Glasgow @rodgab

The wonderfully amazing Rodrigo y Gabriela, played Glasgow's O2 Academy for two barnstorming, utterly wonderful hours.
Tribal, rhythmic and unique, this Mexican guitar duo bring energy, passion and raw musicality to every move they make.
They clearly had a ball playing this fantastic venue - an old Art Deco cinema on Glasgow's southside. The couple had the audience eating out of the palm of their dexterous hands by the end of the night.
A few lucky members of the audience were even invited onstage to make Rodrigo and Gabriela feel less lonely.
They were seated on a bench behind them but within seconds, all of them had shaken off their native Scottish reserve and were dancing like dervishes,
All very gallus and glorious!
I'm still hearing Tamacun in my head.
I took this towards the end of the gig. Gabriela had just explained about a terrible situation in Mexico that kicked off in September, which saw 43 student teachers abducted, presumed murdered.
She asked the audience to share on social media networks.
The students were seized by local police in the town of Iguala in September and given to a criminal gang.
