The Big Comfy Book Launch

We'd stopped off overnight in Coventry so that we could go to Miranda Dickinson's book launch for her sixth novel, I'll Take New York, in The Big Comfy Bookshop today.

Squizzey (the squirrel) and Miranda are good pals on Twitter and have met before and he was very happy to come away with a signed copy of her latest book after a good long chat.

The Big Comfy Bookshop is a wonderful place with shelves of secondhand books to browse, comfy red sofas to sink into, friendly staff, twinkling fairy lights, colourful bunting & posters, blackboards full of bookish quotes, and a cafe with the most wonderful CAKES. (I recommend the chocolate & beetroot but Squizzey snaffled up the carrot & walnut cake and said it was nuttilicious.)

Seriously, if you're in Coventry, go and check it out! The bookshop's just one of a number of great little shops and eating places in the very funky and wonderful Fargo Village, just off Far Gosford Street.
