Mono Monday: HOME (for now)

This shot really captures everything I love about being here (with the exception of Mrs H, who did point out that she's inside so it sort of counts!).

The dramatic hills of Kaituna with the lower slops of Mt Herbert to the left; our patch of regenerating bush garden that we've grown from scratch; the majestic ribbonwoods which have stood here since the woolshed was still a working operation; dogs running around like idiots, quite literally a blur; our heritage roses, transplanted from the Kaituna Homestead; the old fences that were once sheepyards; and of course last, but by no means least, the house we designed and built on the footprint of the old woolshed.

This is what it is to be home. I'll be sad to leave, and the removal truck coming tomorrow will probably bring it more to home than ever. But new opportunities await. Exciting opportunities!

Thanks once again to Skeena for hosting Mono Monday. Nice work S.
