SQUIRREL!

We went for a walk today in one of the local parks. I was looking for some macros so I carried my 105mm lens. Of course typically all I saw was in the distance. A red-bellied woodpecker, a yellow-bellied sapsucker etc. I got identifiable shots but nothing good at the distance I was at.

I did get a nice DOF shot of some berries and another of an interesting plant as well as an excellent 3/4 of a grasshopper of some sort, however like the dog in "UP" I was distracted by a squirrel (with a pine cone). Unfortunately it was up in a tree, hiding behind a branch, and too far away for me to get good shot with my macro lens. I took one anyway.

So here it is at a ridiculously close crop. SQUIRREL!
