Lifeline Express India celebrates 100k surgeries

IMPACT India has been celebrating with Mrs Jaitan.

She is the 100,000th patient to undergo surgery on board the Lifeline Express hospital train. Thanks to surgery her sight has been restored and she is delighted with the result.

The hospital train travels the length and breadth of India 'taking the hospital to the people'.

£40 is the average cost of restoring sight, hearing or mobility, or repairing a cleft lip on board the train's operating theatres.
