Brass buttons

We are lucky enough to have a wonderful Haberdashery and Craft shop in Carlisle. Absolutely anything to do with sewing, embroidery, knitting, quilting and all kinds of crafts is there. It’s an Aladdin’s Cave and amazingly the ladies know exactly where to find everything. I rarely come out of Carlisle without having been in here.

This is just a fraction of the stock of buttons that adorns several walls. How would one choose the brass buttons to go with the green silks and silver shoes?
