Herpes again

Evelyne has pointed out yesterday's Flickr link didn't work SORRY, the restriction now lifted.

Today checked the Hermes tracking site & see that the parcel I sent last Monday was delivered yesterday. Am waiting to hear if the contents survived!

Went back to the Hermes agency again today to do the same, this tine for son J and partner Sarah in England. Hope this shipment doesn't get tied up in a fire in Warrington.

Showed the owner of the shop the Blip from last Monday and she seemed to like it. Then asked if I could take a photo of the gift shop inside as my daughter Kate had rather liked some of the items on the Blip. Thelady went in to caution mode saying she had recently had someone photographing the items I wanted to, apparently with a view to copying them. I was able to reassure her that I wasn't and she Ok'd my Bliping.

However felt uneasy and as things turned out another opportunity arose which while not producing a good photo was an interesting meeting.

After leaving the shop and nearly bumping in to the Hermes van which had just arrived for the afternoon collection, went for a walk with the dogs and shortly after starting, saw a horse, rider & dog catching us up. Both dogs were mesmerised, Luna constantly barking, so we waited till they caught up.

The six of us then did the whole walk together. The lady who lived in a solitary house (just out of view on the other side of the hill in the Blip) was taking her sister's horse for a walk as it has a lung infection and needs to be exercised. In many respects identical situation as we have - solitary location, horses, old house.....

Had a very interesting 45 minute chat. As always have forgotten her name now. As she rode off home, I shouted after her what the Border Collie/Australian Collie Mix was called - I think I heard "Wiwo" which German speakers may be able to comprehend.

Luna was very taken by Mr Wiwo who is the same age. As one would expect from a "lady", she left Flash out in the cold. Welcome to the the club Flash, happens with age!

Yesterday I bliped the Chapel of St Mary of the Snows. What happened today? It snowed all morning but sadly not a single flake stayed visible on landing. However this afternoon the clouds began to break up and forecast is for a very cold night, our first real frost this season. Then by Friday the storm which is heading over the UK will reach us and temperatures could get up to +10°C at the weekend.

Will soon need flippers to walk on the fields, everything soaking wet and muddy. We could do with a longer period of frost.
