Early Evening on Godley Head

The low cloud and evening light brought out the colour in the landscape and sea beautifully, when I was up on the Godley Head road this evening. The skylarks were singing their wee hearts out and it all smelt lovely and fresh and clean. It was freezing cold too, with a nasty sharp easterly - the locals call it the Beastly Easterly!
The bay down below is Taylors Mistake and you can just make out the coastal pathway , wending its way out to Boulder Bay, at the tip of the headland.

Many thanks everyone for sending yesterday's Moody Day over Lyttelton Harbour up into Spotlight! Such a treat to get a 'moody' image up into Spotlight and I appreciate very much that it was that very moodiness that got it there!
