Hearty Fayre Bavarian Style

Back-blip 2 of 2…..

Day one of our business meeting in Munich which finished at the reasonable time of 6pm. After a quick change at the hotel myself and the same two colleagues as yesterday evening, Gavin and Gary, decided to re-visit Munich centre by train and also to meet up with a colleague, Bob, who's been living in Munich for 3 years and I hadn't seen him at all during that time; plus Antoine a Frenchman working for a German company on the same project as the others.

Bob introduced us to one of his favourite restaurants where they flame grill sausages and various other meats and, traditionally serve with potato salad, sauerkraut and mustard. The restaurant is called the Bratwurstherzel - bratwurst being the sausage and herzl a heart - and they serve the food on a metal heart-shaped platter as you can see. With a glass of dunkel weissbier it went down an absolute treat. A very enjoyable evening indeed and especially good to catch up with Bob again.
