Barred

This is one of the traditional old corner plot public houses of Leith Walk that hasn't made the transition into the 21st century post-smoking ban phase of life. There are still one or two pubs in Leith that are essentially reconstructed, but for the most part the pubs have either closed or transformed themselves into various manifestations as style bars, bistros and the like. Not all of these are thriving, but some have made it. There's some hope that the planned reconstruction of the Foot of the Walk by Edinburgh City Council (prior to its deconstruction, perhaps, in a few years yet again to put in the tramlines and pantographs...) might revitalise this part of Leith.

Another #leithwalkshops.

Early blip after a visit to the opticians, before a visit to the supermarket to get some supplies for dinner this evening.
