Guadalupe Processions

It is that time again when the various neighborhoods gather behind an alter devoted to the Virgen de Guadalupe and march from their location to the church on Plaza Kioto. We lucked on to this ceremony our first year here and now seek it out every year. It is a cornucopia of photographic opportunities, but the highlights for me are always the kids. Their parents dress them in traditional costumes and parade them around the church, buying food, having their photos taken and generally enjoying being in a huge crowd of like-minded celebrants. We introduced fellow blipper RaspberryJefe to the spectacle this year and he captured a super shot along similar lines as this. Great minds, and decent photographers, think alike.
