The Edge of the Wold

Windblown

Someone once remarked how well groomed are the Highlands of Redhills Pasture. Well, this little bull was looking windblown today, though he was the most colourful thing to be seen anywhere on Arnside Knott on a grey winter's day. He must be about 20 months old, and he is still only a wee fellow. I shall be interested to see just how long it takes him and his cousins to reach full size. That is, if they stay on the pasture - there are still only the four young ones here at the moment, I haven't seen the rest of the herd for many months, and I'm concerned they may not be coming back.

It was a day for staying in. Wifie has been industrious, making cakes and marmalade, I have been working on the Christmas project (and I really must finish it tonight). We ventured out to see S, J and M for an exchange of Xmas gifts. Then on the way back, a rare treat, we stopped in Milnthorpe to pick up an Indian takeaway, and very good it was too.
