Rudolph

who had a rather darker side ....

This is Rudolph, one of a family of reindeer who sit on our mantelpiece over Christmas. Gill made him and the others a couple of years ago, and now prepares them as kits too. He and his family usually look quite jolly, but while I was having a bit of an experiment with the mix of room light and flash from one side I thought the shadows brought out another, less well known side of his character. He didn't get Dancer, Prancer and the others to accept him by simply having an illuminated nose .....
