Mono Monday 99: Mobile and ... DS8 results.

A new technique for me,   a neutral density filter to lengthen the exposure time for this view of the traffic on the M40,  just South of Warwick Services ... I get to photograph scenes in all the best places :-)  The traffic was moving quite freely this morning,  around start and finish times at JLR this section gets very busy and also on a Friday afternoon when anyone working away in the South makes their way home.

Thanks to Skeena for hosting Mono Monday this month.

And so - on to the results for DS8.  My last week as host and what a great response with many well thought out entries.  Maisiebeth and I have been through them independently, compared notes, and these are the 10 we have chosen:

Hearts/Favourites go to:

DS8 Cable Guide  TieBreaker - great post industrial detail

Lamp Post  DavidC - great use of a selective thumbnail to gather interest

Rusting Hull Bacardi Bev - composition, story, texture - much to see in this one

Chair 3   Sk  - I like the idea of an invite to wonder who sat there and when?

Global Warming RichardG - more story & texture

Stars go to:

Window Montage
Beachcomber149 - we liked the flow from left to right
A rose no more  Bom - wonderful natural decay, the Miss Haversham comment is very apt
Years of Use Freespiral - natural decay, faded paint and an old artefact all in one
Gradually disappearing truck  Miranda1008  - the grey paint looks to be 'melting' into the weeds.
Derelict Croft -  JanetHH  - a real sense of history here

Honourable mentions to:
Broken Windows  another excellent  'soot & whitewash' graphical style image from Apothocary7
Exercise Machine - Teasel - three separate stages of dereliction in the machine, the building behind and the old chimney.

Many thanks from me to everyone who has entered,  apologies if you didn't get a thank you on at least one of your images but they  are all appreciated.
Special thanks to MaisieBeth for her assistance with the reviews
Thanks also to FreeSpiral for getting Derelict Sunday restarted.

Next week will be DS9 hosted by Maisiebeth.  She already has her entry in place so much to inspire you there ....
