Distorted Reality

The mind is a strange thing. Perception of self can be a distorted reflection of reality or sometimes even a complete lie.

Tonight was a Chimp Management Coaching workshop on the Dark Planet. A few weeks ago, a coach working in East Manchester said to me "when a kid turns up and is misbehaving, you never know what has just happened at home. Shit probably has just happened". It's a salutary lesson to us all..... particularly in coaching.

Within our head is our own reality and we tend to judge others by those perceptions. However, we all see the world slightly differently or indeed very differently. It takes complete discipline to minimise the gap between perception and reality in the here and now.
