Can't keep a good thing down.

In recent times my parents have gradually tried to remove as much areas in the garden that require maintenance, without losing all the colour. They have been planning and preparing for times when such garden work will be too difficult to perform. But in doing so they have had to sacrifice some of the planting area they have had since they moved to the house in 1962!

Visiting my father today I noticed that between the boards of his newly laid decking, the spring snowdrops had managed to find there way through the gap and rightfully reclaim their little space in the garden.
