Very Hungry Squirrel Mom

Even in the concrete jungle where I work there is life.

This squirrel was frantic, jumping from twig to twig eating the buds. If you look closely, you can see that this is a squirrel mom, taking a short break from feeding her babies.

The pigeon is still sitting tight on her nest on the ledge outside my window. She doesn't move from the spot. I saw her mate bring her food just once. I hope the eggs hatch safely.

I think some sparrows have built nests inside cracks in the wall. I will continue to investigate.

It makes me happy to notice nature even in the most unnatural places.
