"Wa-duh"

Bright blue skies hidden behind heavy dark gray clouds. The movement in the sky continued to change all day long. Pockets of sun peeking out of an overcast sky. And then it was gone again. Temperatures down drastically from yesterday's gorgeous weather. More of a sweatshirt kind of a day, versus the almost summer like day just 24 hours earlier. This is the coast. This completely defines coastal weather.

The lake went from glassy and smooth to windy and rough. Rhythmic waves hitting the shoreline at my parents lakeside home. We even spotted some baby deer swimming by the dock this morning. An outside day even though the skies were gray. The kids were each given the opportunity to pick out flowers at the nursery and plant their own gardens. As I was laying in the sand getting this blip of the wind induced waves, the kids were building sandcastles next to me. A couple more months and we will all be spending the entire day outside swimming, tubing, wake boarding and boating. Just a couple more months and we will not need wetsuits. This water will warm up and the kids will splash around all day long. We all live for the water!!!

The lake........our favorite place on the planet! Summer here we come......

(Oh and this blip is called "wa-duh" because when I was asking my sister what I should call this blip, my daughter who was sitting on her lap, looked at the screen and said, "wa-duh". So "wa-duh" it is)
