Life Imitating Art

This painting, in a very upscale gallery on Newbury Street in Boston, caught my eye this evening. The image speaks to me because of the artist's use of light and emotion.

From a distance, I saw the dark spot on the man's arm and approached the window to get a better look. Upon closer inspection of the dark spot, I realized it was a huge fly.

As I was studying the fly on the painting speculating on whether or not it was real, I had all but decided it was not when it flew away!
