Panguni Uthiram

Panguni Uthiram is an hindu festival celebrated in the month of March. Its the last month of our calendar. April 14th is our New Year as per our Lunar calendar.

Regarding the ceremony,
it's the day the lord is getting married. Usually lord will be at the temple and people go to temple to visit him. During special occasions like these the god will come out of the temples in his chariot around the cities and the go back to the temple. Now since it's his marriage day, he comes in a chariot driven by lord brahma (god of creation).
