Snown Box!

I think the weather will be a re-occurring theme with Aberdeenshire blippers today!

Last day of March! British summer time has begun in earnest! And were hit with this monster snowfall!

This is the telephone box that I made it onto the Scottish lunchtime & evening news with as well as getting in the national press & mentioned in the houses of parliament! I threatened to chain myself to if BT took it away 5 years ago. It's a national treasure & thankfully still here. Admittedly more people/tourists take pictures of it than actually use it.

BT has made it as hard as possible to use by not accepting coins and making users go through a rather complicated rigmarole for using credit cards. Especially hard if you're a tourist speaking another language.

However it provides a service in a rural area like Kildrummy when travelling about. Mobile phone company signals here can be pretty sketchy and in an emergency situation it could help save someone's life! An accident in today's weather being a prime example!
