NZ Carex (Native Grass)

Easter Friday greeted us with a dull, grey day.

I went in search for a bit of brightness but wanted something a little different from flowers and greenery.  I came across this tree trunk and liked the greyness of it.  The brown grasses around it are a type of NZ Carex.
(I was going to get the variety but there are a few and rather than name it incorrectly I have left it as NZ Carex).
There are a lot of blue/grey tones in this blip but dull they are not.
