Sisters

Mrs Smith's Mum (AKA Nana Alice) and Mrs Smith's Mum's sister (AKA Auntie Sue) came over for Sunday lunch today and to distribute chocolate eggs to the hordes.

The Easter Bunny had already been bright and early this morning. For a few years now we have had a tradition of hiding Easter eggs, fastening one end of a ball of wool to each one and then making a trail through all the rooms in the house before fastening it to the bottom of the kids beds so they can immediately work themselves into a frenzy when they wake up and roll up the balls of wool following the trail to their hidden eggs. By the time we've hidden three eggs and laid the trails all over the house it makes it quite a challenge picking your way through and getting to bed. Unfortunately Eve came downstairs at 11pm last night complaining of a sore throat just as we were in the midst of unravelling the wool. She didn't say anything but all day today she's been winking at me and saying "that Easter bunny was busy last night".

It was funny watching Joe this morning, he just hasn't got the hang of how to roll the wool up so Mrs S had to follow him round the house with a plastic bag which he kept chucking the wool into. Took him ages but he got there in the end. His woolen trail was red and Eve suggested the Easter Bunny did that deliberately to remind us all of the blood of Christ. I think I'll get him green wool next year.
