Athens Day Three

'Jesus Christ's most severe mandate bringing about God's anger says to you: get out of the whore Christendom.'

What on earth this means, I've no idea (it's been a while since Sunday School), but it's no doubt some guff about sinning and dying.

We saw so much today, all of it captivating. We started off at Syntagma Square (pictured) before meandering through the nearby National Gardens. A big long wander took us past the Temple of Zeus and a lazy afternoon tat-shopping before settling down for some wine and nosh in a lovely outdoor restaurant. (I won't bore you with details of all the middle-aged snoggers (complete with sound effects), chain-smokers, and the girl with half of everything hanging out so her boyfriend could munch away on the exposed areas.)

It really is a quite mesmerising city.

---> Crucified!*

* I remember fondly when a former colleauge was sent home (on casual-dress-Friday) for wearing a t-shirt that had a picture of Jesus on the cross with 'Crucifed!' in big letters and '...and all I got was this lousy t-shirt' on the back. Brilliant.

(Um, Happy Easter by the way.)
