Athens Day Two

After navigating to Piraeus using the tram system (the public transport here is exceptional), we island hopped to Aegina and spent the afternoon there. Not much to see really, and far too touristy for my liking, but it was nice just to relax by the sea with a Corona or two. We've both got nice pink burnt faces though. Schoolboy (and girl) error.

There was a bit of a kerfuffle around the docks with a very odd looking family who were, as the local kiosk blokes were keen let us know, Albanian. I have no comment on that. There are lots of blokes around selling dodgy stuff too. Mainly sunglasses and watches, but also splatty tomatoes (see yesterday's video) and some very odd bicycle things (see today's video). Every now and again though, a tourist with a 'I heart Greece' hat would come along and snap one up, so it must be worth their while I suppose.

The evening was spent wandering around the quite lovely area of Plaka where we plonked ourselves down for some wine, olives, and tzatziki all the while soaking up the extremely chilled atmostphere.

This place is lovely.
