Fly tying fisherman

Around 4 PM this afternoon I stood and listened as Bob engaged a couple of fishermen in conversation about their day's catch. The older of the two had a cap laden with badges or pins indicating that he was a top rate Fish Ohio angler. He had been at the river since 6:00 am, and he had caught and released about 40 fish. Now to be honest, I don't have much interest in fishing, but when he started to talk about how many flies he had lost throughout the day, flies that he tied himself, and pulled out a colorful creation as an example of his handiwork, I stepped forward and asked if I could take a picture. And of course he said yes! As we walked on up the trail, he and his buddy headed home, tired but happy...the end of a successful day on the river.
