Landmark Moment...

In a few short days Lyra has really started to get the hang of food. She's not eating a huge amount, more just tasting and exploring but she must be eating a little because when changing Lyra's nappy the other day, Tom exclaimed (and this is a bit icky) "Landmark moment - Lyra had a bit of bran in her poo!"

She's really enjoying freshly baked bread (we love our bread maker) and had great fun tackling pear and strawberries yesterday.

She tried to eat a babywipe today too but desisted when I explained it definitely wouldn't count as one of her five a day.

In other news, we have been too busy trying to be good parents and have consequeny been bad apiarists so our bees swarmed this morning. Thankfully Lyra took a well timed nap whilst her daddy and I clambered up ladders in our beesuits and caught the swarm. I took Lyra to watch Daddy tending to the bees later on. She was fascinated. I wonder how long it will be before she has her own beesuit and is helping to look after our little friends?

Lyra did make the spotlight yesterday so Daddy was happy (he always asks). I am constantly surprised how many people view Lyra's journal and take the time to leave lovely comments. It means a lot to us. Thank you.
