Sally--The Mother Killdeer

Look closely, and you will see a mother killdeer who now lives in our landscaping rock that surrounds our patio. She is sitting on four eggs, which should hatch in about 15 days. We have named the mother killdeer Sally, and the father killdeer's name is Sammy. As soon as killdeers are hatched from their eggs, they start running (like chicks). Sally is a good mother, and Sammy diligently watches out for her. They both like me and my husband, Tim, but they do not like the noisy lawnmower. I'll keep you posted on the babies!
