Marathon?

Was up at half eight this morning when my best mate phoned me, he was sitting outside the flat having just dropped his better half (above) off at Meadowbank stadium for the Edinburgh half marathon. The weather was bitterly cold and wet - more like winter than spring and, suitably wrapped up we headed off to Musselburgh and the finish line to see her cross the line.

In the end we saw her at the half way mark too - and passed her some juice and words of encouragement for the last leg before heading to the finish line. She did it in two hours bang on. That is impressive! Afterwards we went to the Sheep Heid for food before they headed home (she was off for a well deserved hot bath).

I, feeling a tad lazy, have just gotten back in from a cycle to Silverknowes, via Leith, Stockbridge, Dean Village, Blackhall, and then Silverknowes before heading back to Newhaven. Nothing compared to what this lady has done. Not even close. Big congratulations Miss BC!
