Got a Camera?

Boooo... Back to work today :-(

For some of us.

Three colleagues M.I.A (Missing in Airport) due to the grounding of flights over Europe so a bit of cover requiring to be organised, but overall the day wasn't too bad - for a Monday at least.

This 'flyer' arrived though, promoting a pretty specific photography competition. The covering letter mentioned how often you can look skyward and see the vapour trails of aircraft crossing to create the Scottish Salitire symbol. Ha! Not round here matey boy, not today at least. Maybe tomorrow though, as it looks like there will be some limited flights being allowed over this way.

I did learn about the origins of the Saltire from the poster though. The symbol was apparently spotted in the sky during a battle in 832AD near the village of Athelstaneford in East Lothian and it inspired the Scots to victory.

Was Athelstaneford on the flight path for Edinburgh Airport back then?
