The Blush of a Virgin

The weather has been perfect this last 10 days. I have watched the garden with great anticipation as swelling flower buds have started to open.

There is something so utterly luxuriant about the unfurling thick flower petals of the Magnolia Grandiflora. Like a young virgin blushing for the very first time.
