Flowers & Bruant in Boston

This weekend at the Boston Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) garden clubs and floral designers from around Massachusetts installed several dozen floral displays around the museum. Each had been assigned a spot in a gallery and designed a floral display to suit that spot. Here is a display by the Spade and Trowel Garden Club of Andover juxtaposed with an iconic poster by Toulouse-Lautrec showing the Parisian cabaret singer Aristide Bruant.

This morning we reunited with a student friend who found refuge with us last winter for a couple of weeks in Paris, and whom we had not seen for over a year. She is thriving in a very demanding art therapy and psychology program here in the Boston area--great to see her!
