A Fragrant Future

These orange blossoms are smelling up our yard. Sweetly...

Bees like orange blossoms and hummingbirds do too.

The little green ball in the upper right is the beginning of one of next year's oranges. It is remarkable how quickly they develop. Now we have to hope that the birds don't take a liking to these baby oranges and start munching on the little fruits.

This week we started a final pick of this year's oranges and squeezed about a quart and a half of orange juice. The juice is now in the freezer while we finish drinking the juice from the grocery store.

Next week we'll have to start squeezing grapefruit juice.
