Japanese blossom

I really love spring! After a cold winter nature is finally coming back to life. Leaves are growing again, temperature is rising and the trees are starting to blossom. One tree is my absolute favourite: the Japanese Flowering Cherry.

Lucky me, because Japanese Flowering Cherry trees are lining many streets and parks in Brussels! They are usually at their peak in April, so I wanted to catch the blossom on camera before it's too late.

I took this picture in the Leopold park with the European Parliament in the background. Even though it was a grey and cloudy day today, I managed to photograph some colour!
