The Start

The start of my day. Early morning light shining on the Japanese Maple.

Trees filled with birds. Tiny flitting warblers, singing: Black-throated Greens, Yellow, and others we couldn't identify. The resident Cardinal chipping at the invasion of his space. Ruby-crowned Kinglets, flashing their ruby head patch.

And later, equally lovely moments: a break with my sister, hugs with my family, fellowship with my colleagues and the relaxation of a nice, deep, warm bath in preparation for the weekend!
