A Blip on the Reidar

At last...

Dunfermline Athletic 2-1 Stirling Albion
East End Park
Attn: 3,921

Lots of good things to take from the game today. First half was a bit disappointing overall, we should have opened the scoring in this half and didn't. Still the team played well together, you could see that we where the better team. Crawford had a superb game and in fact most of the team where on form. I'm usually quite hard on Young as I feel he can play hot and cold at times but give him his due he held the mid-field together for the whole match.

Not to let down a record in the making though Dunfermline did manage to have yet another player red carded to make it four players in four games. I couldn't make out what had happened but from all accounts it was hand ball and it "handed" them their penalty to equalise after Hamilton had opened the scoring from a peach of a cross from Crawford. With a man down though we still shone like the team on top and Stirling took the tack of hacking down our players to try and stop us, four carded offences in five minutes shows you what they where up to.

Two minutes from time with it looking like they might be jammy and get a draw we finally got a win under our belts with a lovely goal from the increasingly impressive winger Harper. 2-1 to the Pars and a very happy East End Park.

Next up is the return tie against BK Hacken iin the Uefa Cup on Thursday night.

League position: 6th
