Solar y luna

A light in the west

I went to the beach this afternoon in the hope of capturing some of the day's sparkling sunshine, but had no luck. It's a long hot 90-minute march to get there, during which I realised I was completely overdressed (i.e. wearing far too many layers), and I arrived just as the sun was swallowed by a bank of thick dark clouds. Suddenly grateful for my jersey-hoodie-jacket combo, I mooched around as the shorts-and-sandals-wearers scrambled for their cars. But the flat grey empty beach did not inspire. Back home, the sun finally bothered to show its face at dusk. There was just time to nip out into the street and take this picture.
