Starting over

If it's not too crazy a thing to admit, I have a favourite tree stump in the local park. This is not it. This is just my second favourite. The light on Stump Number One was obscured by the branches of a neighbouring tree when I went past with my camera today, so I was obliged to seek out the Runner-up Stump. It's not a bad alternative. I particularly like the way a new plant (hopefully a tree, though it's too early to tell) has taken root and may one day replace the tree that was cut down. It's good to get a second chance.
